We offer a remote-first environment with flexible working hours as well as options for in-person working locations. To support the significant growth and development of the organization, the expertise and capability of an experienced and dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) is required. With plenty of initiative and competitive but friendly in nature, the BDR will relish the challenge of prospecting for clients and achieving sales.

 

What you’ll do at HammerTech

The BDR is responsible for working collaboratively with HammerTech Account Executives to:

  • Prospect into strategic business accounts via cold call, email and social strategies
  • Drive sales growth and pipeline through setting up meetings for Account Executives with prospective clients
  • Build relationships with existing customers through consistent follow up, reliable communication and frequent updates on product developments, identify opportunities for expanded use of the HammerTech product, and set up meetings with Account Executives

 

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate prospective client needs by researching industry to identify new leads
  • Act as first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward
  • Support Account Executives on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts
  • Monitor and attend meetings with prospects while handling the introductions and follow-ups with Account Executives
  • Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and business development openings
  • Build relationships with existing customers through consistent follow up, reliable communication and frequent updates on product developments
  • Closely monitor existing HammerTech customers to identify opportunities for expanded use of the HammerTech product, and set up meetings to progress such expansion
  • Present product information to customers once needs are identified
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure the company's goals and targets are met
  • Other duties to enhance business development as required

  • Tertiary qualifications in sales, marketing, business, or a related field
  • Successful completion of coursework in business development techniques, marketing, and communication may be advantageous
  • Experience in SaaS business development in construction or related industry
  • Experience working with Salesforce/HubSpot or other CRM (desired)
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent client services skills and the capacity to easily build rapport and establish relationships with prospects and clients
  • Outstanding listening skills and the capacity to probe and clarify to get a real sense of customer's needs
  • Analytical problem-solver
  • Capacity to work effectively as part of a high performing team
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and to meet strict deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to meet weekly targets and key performance indicators
  • Proven initiative and a competitive drive
  • Strong resilience, perseverance, and an ability to overcome objections
